As I mentioned in my reply volunteering to attack the Knight King, Peter pretty much uses all the means he has at his advantage in a fight. If he has to trick people, sneak around or attack by surprise then so be it. You don't get extra points for dying in a noble way, so he doesn't particularly care about how an enemy is killed as long as it goes down.
That said, he's pretty good with strategies and like working with teams. Do you need a distraction? Inspiration? A 6'2 tower of a dude with no sense of self-preservation to charge at a nearby enemy while your reload? Peter's your guy.
He will come to battle with is familiar (who will also be armored because if Sandy takes too much damage she disappears) and user her to help around the battlefield to cause distractions. If he reaches the level two power set before the fight starts, maybe he will be able to use a fire elemental to fight.
