I was asked recently about when characters get their god powers due to the lapse between when a character is accepted to the game and when their power application might be approved. The mechanic as it is designed was meant to grant the god powers immediately upon your character's entry into their god house (their first day in game), but the discrepancy between the time it takes for you to get your powers approved has lead some to play it as though they "got" them then instead of right away.
This was unintentional, but it's absolutely something we can work with if you'd like to play it this way! The IC/OOC time bleed is unfortunately unavoidable with how much work goes into approving a power set, so you only really have two options for this:
handwave/retcon: you assume your character got their powers on their first day in Asgard, regardless of when your application is approved OOCly. all characters get their powers at the same time and there is no disparity.
real time: your character receives their god powers when their application is approved OOCly. almost every character will receive their powers at a different time with no consistency.
Either of these options is fine to play with, but I'll need to know if folks are intending to have their powers manifest in real time like this so that I can come up with some kind of lore justification for it. Something I'm almost always happy to do; coming up with excuses to do nonsense things is a mod's true purpose. Haha Let me know what you guys think and I can plan accordingly!
