New Player Opportunity: Assembling a War Council

Hello friends! Tori/Daenerys' player here. A few of us wanted to introduce a new opportunity to those who might be interested. 

After Red Death caused so much chaos, some of the Game of Thrones PCs have been chattering with the gods about assembling what's loosely being called a war council, and they want YOU to join them!

War council rundown: 

* A place where all players/PCs can gather and work together in preparation for a future attack/invasion (and in the future, adjust their methods for other events when applicable).

* Will include "specialty groups" such as first responders, defenders, medics, scouts, front line battle folk, etc. Think of these as mini-councils. This council isn't just for medics and warriors, but also individuals who are willing and able to take up those odds and ends tasks (ie: delivering weapons, food, or supplies to the battlefield... or gathering the locals and finding a safe place for them). 

* Signing up for a particular group does not mean you are constrained by that grouping, it’s just where your character felt they matched best at the time. It also doesn't bind you to a particular role during any given event (though we ask that you communicate with anyone your changes might affect).

* We're thinking of approaching this as an open forum for the groups to talk and devise a plan together. There will be IC and OOC posts where players/PCs can have a roundtable about ways to tackle different tasks and needs. This also means we can keep the game at large in the loop. How you decide to approach things ICly/your level of involvement is up to you.

* IC posts will go up every few months, or after a particular event (when applicable) to avoid redundancy. The mods/gods have added an "alert" function to the network in case of an emergency requiring immediate communication.

* We don't want this to become an exclusive group. A lot of people play characters who would want to see some planning in the event of future attacks, but this doesn't mean that uninvolved players are required to stick to the plans, or that you have to be involved in this organization to participate in future events. If your character is a lone wolf who wouldn't get involved, not being involved won't hurt their ability to participate in anything event-related -- including roles like combat or medical that are covered within the council. 

* This group will not have leadership positions. It will be more of a collective that manages how the council operates, and what changes they can try and instill in the game-verse (pending mod approval), which means any ideas or suggestions are MORE than welcome. It's going to be a little bit of trial and error to see what works and what flops, so we may be changing things up based on your input and how smoothly things go. Just think of us as a liaison for any questions you may have C: 

The ones ICly spearheading this initially are Dany, Jon, and Robb... but most of the GoT cast has expressed interest and may be lowkey helping (or hindering COUGH-THEON-COUGH) on the sidelines.

Peter would love to be a part of this. He's used to work with teams and works better with anything involving fighting or causing a distraction.

Yup. They're safe, totally safe. It's not like anything bad ever happens in their lives, they had such stellar past.

Ye Zun isn't exactly that great with being inside a team (insert traumatic backstory here) but he can work with others as long as he's more in a command or solo position. He's best at analyzing, planning and figuring out weaknesses as well as being a spy and saboteur. He also can fight but he's not inclined to stick his neck out for people he doesn't know.

also i have no idea where to stick him on the google doc after the first couple things but he may end up helping in other areas because he is a brat.

Tha'ts okay! And it's totally allowed to throw him into everything, if you think it applies. It's more just for a means to get us some info and get groups going :)

Circe hasn't had a chance to work with others really, but she'd be willing to here. She's not much of a fighter, but she's a medic and can treat the wounded.

Oh this is great. Steve will definitely want to get involved. He was thinking of bringing up some sort of combat training so this might be a good place to introduce the idea.

AWESOME! Glad Cap is going to join them C: There's a lot of PCs who have expressed interest on the network post for training, and I know Dany would also love to learn. We're planning on throwing up a mingle log come August so keep your eyes peeled

This is an absolutely wonderful idea, and a nice opportunity for the characters to plot and plan. And Terezi... will probably try to help out.

Try being the operative word.

On the plus side, at least she can fight (when she remembers to take her blindfold off.)

Not gonna lie, Jon’s first tag back was almost something about Finn looking a little like one of the Unsullied (Dany’s followers are basically the first POC Jon ever met), but I thought it would really be too on the nose wrt to Finn’s Storm Trooper training.

Finn is a good good guy 😭
